Everything That Comes With your Cenote Proposal

This Cenote is a private one which is still in the hands of a local family. For our proposals they allow us to rent the venue exclusively so you can be sure that no unwanted visitors will appear for 2 hours.

Right in the middle of the Mayan jungle, about 2km in, we create a moment that feels real and authentic.
Using seasonal flowers for a flower bouquet and rose petals in natural tones, always inspired by what the land is offering at that time. We work closely with local florists who know this place by heart and choose blooms that belong here.
Additionally, we create a set-up that contains a rug in natural colors and pillows so you can enjoy the nature while feeling cozy as if you would in your own living room.Before we start planning, we’ll ask about your ideas, colors you love, and any details that matter to you, so we can create something that truly feels personal.

You’ll be welcomed by a medicine woman of the land and gently welcome and guide to the spot. Before the big moment, we take a few quiet minutes to ground with you — to breathe, arrive, and open the space together. After many years of organizing proposals, we found that it’s our way of helping you drop into presence, so when you ask the big question, you’re fully there.

We work with a trusted circle of photographers who know how to stay invisible, and still capture everything.
From hidden glances to full-body joy, they’re there to document the real moment, not stage it. Because let’s be honest, we’re not into cheesy proposal pics, and nor are you probably.
You’ll walk away with honest, timeless images that bring you right back to the Caribbean whenever you desire.

Tulum’s Jungle isn’t easy to navigate but we make it carefree.
You’ll be picked up directly from your accommodation by one of our trusted drivers and brought to your proposal spot with care. No need to worry about anything here.
Afterward, they’ll take you home safe, so you can stay in your just-engaged bubble a little longer.

Most of the time, all three of us — Pili, Kari and Lucas — are there.
We greet you as part of the “staff,” guide you casually to your spot, and make sure every detail is in place without ever breaking the surprise.
After the yes, we’ll be there to celebrate with you, just for a few heartfelt minutes, because we’re genuinely moved every single time.

A Walk Through Your Beach Proposal Day
4:30pm to 5pm:
Drive to the jungle
To keep the surprise, you can tell your partner that you’re going to visit a hidden Cenote you found online. One of our trusted drivers will pick you up and take you through the jungle roads to a remote and magical location just outside Tulum.
5pm to 5:30pm:
Arriving and proposal
When you arrive, one of us will pretend working at the Cenote and jump into the car with you, until the we arrive at the secret Cenote. From here, our medicine woman will greet you, smudge you with copal and guide you down the stairs where the magic set-up will reveal itself and you ask the big question.
5:30pm to 6:00pm: Professional photo shooting in nature
Our photographer will discreetly capture the big moment. After the proposal, you'll have time for a relaxed photo session surrounded by water, trees, and stone – a setting that doesn’t need much else.
6:00pm to 7:00pm:
Spending time at the Cenote
Once the photo session is wrapped, the Cenote awaits you. In an intimate setting with cushions, flowers and a bottle of sparkling wine you can enjoy the quiet in the jungle, undisturbed. If you’re feeling like, you can bring your bathing suit and make it into the water!
7pm to 7:30pm:
Safe ride back
Time to go home: One of our driver’s will pick you up and drive you back home or to your hotel.

We’re preparing a cheese and charcuterie board for you, with berries, spreads, grapes, and homemade focaccia and bread.

The package includes some decent and authentic decoration such as rose petals and a flower bouquet. If you want to level up, we can decorate a big flower arch with flowers so you can propose in front of it. Hit us up for photos of examples!

Of course you can – it’s up to you how to propose in Tulum. The time schedule is just an example to give you a feel for the day. We can work according to your wishes.

Yes, that’s also possible. If you want to bring in an own idea for your romantic proposal Tulum, we can easily tie it into the package. Also, if you want to leave out the photographer or the driver (because you have an own car f.e.) we can adjust that. The package and how we created it is just a frame and we’re very open to hear your ideas!

After you’ve filled the contact form and sent us your text, we’ll get in touch within two working days. Normally we try to set up a call so we can discuss our Tulum proposal packages, plus your ideas and create a package that suits your needs.

After we figured out all the details, we’ll send you a payment request via Wise or PayPal for your private beach proposal Tulum. If you don’t have any of both, don’t worry, we’ll find a solution.

Yes, this package includes somebody from BOW & ARROW being on spot for you in order to bring you to the location and guide you through your proposal. We’re the only Tulum proposal planners and the only agency that only focuses on proposals.

We’re constantly keeping an eye on the weather. If there’s just a little rain, we’ll bring fashionable umbrellas and make sure to keep you as dry and comfortable as possible. If the weather makes it truly impossible to go ahead, we’ll reschedule together and find the next best day for your special moment. That said — in all our years of planning, we’ve never had to reschedule a proposal. Seems like we’ve got a good connection with the weather goddess (:
