What’s included in the package
Exclusive rent of the venue
For the Mayan Ceremony we rent a private space – most of the time it’s going to be a Cenote. The space will exclusively rent for you so that no visitors have access.
Mayan Ceremony & Decoration
We work with a group of shamans and Mayan medicine man and women who facilitate ceremonies for marriage proposals in the way the ancient Mayans did it.
Safe Transportation
Since the cenote is a bit outside of Tulum you will be picked up from home and brought to the private cenote – and also brought back home by a trustworthy professional driver.
Professional Photographer
Part of this package is a professional photographer who will capture this unique moment. We only work with photographers who value authenticity.

This is how you can imagine it
4pm to 4:30pm: Drive to Cenote
To keep the surprise you can tell your partner, you’ve read about this one Cenote you’d like to visit. You can tell them you’ve booked a tour to discover it and that a driver will pick you up. We’ll send a trustworthy driver who will pick you up and bring you to the spot.
4:30pm: Arriving at the Cenote
Right where your driver will leave you, one of us will meet you and pretend we work for the Cenote. We will guide you to the spot where you’ll already notice the ceremony set-up. Still maintaining the surprise we’ll tell you that there’s a Mayan Ceremony happening here and that if you like, you could participate. You convince your partner that you’d like to stay.
4:45pm to 5:45: Marriage Proposal & Ceremony
At some point your partner will notice that something’s going on here. You can take time to explain that it’s a surprise for him or her and do the proposal in your on time – witnessed by the medicine women and men around. After your partner said “yes” the Mayan Ceremony will begin and your relation will be blessed. Hit us up for more info about the ceremony.
5:45pm to 6:15pm: Photo Shooting
We’ll have a professional photographer on spot who will take photos of your proposal and the ceremony. After, you’ll have time to take some couple photos according to your taste. We only work with photographers who value authenticity and have a good eye and empathy.

The package includes some decent and authentic decoration such as rose petals or a flower bouquet. If you want to level up, we can decorate a big flower arch with flowers so you can propose in front of it. Hit us up for photos!

After the Mayan ceremony, continue your celebration with a romantic picnic by the cenote’s edge. Surrounded by lush nature, you’ll enjoy a beautifully arranged setup with delicious treats, creating a peaceful and intimate moment to savor your engagement.
Extra Cost: 250 USD.

After such a ceremony one can get really hungry. If you wish, we can organize a romantic dinner in a beautiful Beach Club or in Tulum Town after the proposal.
Extra cost for two: between 400 USD 550 USD depending on the courses and drinks.

Of course you can. The time schedule is just an example to give you a feel for the day. We can work according to your wishes.

Yes, that’s also possible. If you want to bring in an own idea, we can easily tie it into the package. Also, if you want to leave out the photographer or the driver (because you have an own car f.e.) we can adjust that. The package and how we created it is just a frame and we’re very open to hear your ideas!

After you’ve filled the contact form and sent us your text, we’ll get in touch within two working days. Normally we try to set up a call so we can discuss your ideas and create a package that suits your needs.

After we figured out all the details, we’ll send you a payment request via Wise or PayPal. If you don’t have any of both, don’t worry, we’ll find a solution.

Yes, this package includes somebody from BOW & ARROW being on spot for you in order to bring you to the cenote and guide you through your proposal.
